Summary:
The Product Support Specialist responds to customer’s inquiries on all Modules
of the system including, Scheduling, Client Intake, Admission Records, Payer Setup,
Payroll, Billing, Medicare, Medicaid Billing, Cash Applications, Clinical Management
and Point of Care. The Product Support Specialist champions the customer cause
till resolution.  Answers customer's questions regarding the use of the product
and maps the use of the product to business processes for Home healthcare,
hospice, private duty and staffing agencies.  Prior experience in home health
care setting required.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains detailed understanding of the product technically and functionally.
  • Answer calls from live phone system and log calls using computer call tracking system.
  • Listen to the customer’s request; determine their needs; establish a plan and
    communicate that plan to the customer until resolution.
  • Determines the interaction between various departments and the ability of the
    system to function as envisioned by the client.
  • The Product Specialist will accurately and thoroughly document issues/
    software concerns for follow-up and/or resolution by programming staff.
    Requires excellent communication skills.
  • Accurately maintain the database with customer information and call resolution details.
  • Providing detailed documentation, on the use of the product to meet the client's needs.
  • Establish his/her system for troubleshooting; use basic action workflow.
  • Be proactive in learning new features and other product with minimal supervision
  • Have and maintain a working knowledge of Homecare regulations, Clinical Regulations
    and General Home Care Billing rules.  Medicare Billing and Oasis Assessment knowledge desired.
  • Performs other assignments as requested.
  • Must be able to carry on-call cell phone to provide Customers with after hours, holiday and weekend support.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to four years
    related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have worked in  Operational And/Or Clinical Role in a Home Care Agency for at least
    4 years, 2 of which were in a Supervisory capacity
  • Experience in daily activities of a home health care agency, either in operational
    (scheduling, billing, intake or in other in-office roles) or clinical roles.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: 

  • Must have Healthcare industry knowledge, previous Home Care exposure preferred.
  • Knowledge of Home Care operations and billing is a plus.            
  • Require strong customer service orientation and must show enthusiasm in job performance.
  • Ability to learn quickly and then use that knowledge to solve problems effectively.
  • Creativity/Ingenuity - Ability to problem solve on the fly.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to listen and hear what the customer is not saying. 
    Must be able to repeat back to the customer what his/her issue is and define a plan
    of action that is acceptable to both parties.   Possess good written communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to determine if problem is product or system in origin.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
    variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Adaptability- Maintaining effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks,
    responsibilities, and people.
  • Team Work- Active participation in team effectiveness; taking actions that demonstrate
    consideration for the feelings and needs of others; being aware of the effect of one's
    behavior on others.
  • Must be familiar with web-based software concepts.
